Dogwood needlepoint patterns

Most show a sprig of dogwood: one to three blossoms on a short twig, each with four broad, rounded petals set as a cross, drawn in several styles.

Each petal has a small notch in its outer edge, and the petals sit around a small, tight center. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and many can be made round. Pale petals need a ground with color in it; most are marked intermediate.
