Haunted houses needlepoint patterns

Haunted houses seen straight on, one with two ghosts: tall and dark, with a steep roof, a pointed tower, at one side in most, and lit windows.

The house is drawn in several styles. In the classic haunted house with a ghost, a purple house with a tower at its left and yellow windows stands under a dark navy sky: a white ghost rises from the chimney, another looks out of the attic window, a bat crosses a pale yellow moon and an orange pumpkin grins by the house. All are four inches square on 18 mesh. Dark colors are hard to tell apart under a lamp, so sort the threads in daylight, and work the lit windows first so the dark areas are counted from them.
