Nesting dolls needlepoint patterns

A Russian nesting doll, the matryoshka, upright: a smooth, rounded skittle shape with a small round head merging into the body.

It is drawn in several styles; the preppy one shows three dolls side by side. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and most can be made as a round ornament. Where the decoration takes many colors, sort the threads before you begin; most are marked intermediate.
