Peppers needlepoint patterns

Peppers: a chili pepper, a long, narrow, tapering pod with a gentle curve, and a bell pepper, a blocky fruit with rounded lobes.

The folk art chili design hangs three in a bunch. The chili and the bell pepper are both drawn in several styles. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and many can be made round. Where a glossy skin is shown with a highlight and a darker shade, lay the lighter and the darker thread side by side before you start, so that you can tell them apart; most are marked beginner.
