Snakes needlepoint patterns

A snake in a flat coil seen from above, like a coiled rope, two or three turns of body, drawn in several styles.

The tail is at the center of the coil and the head at the outer end, with a forked tongue out. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and some are marked intermediate. The coil is counted from the center outward, one turn at a time; mark your place as you go.
