Staffordshire dogs needlepoint patterns

A Staffordshire pottery spaniel, the mantelpiece ornament, sitting upright with its head turned to face you, in several styles.

It is a stiff, stylized spaniel in three-quarter view, with patches on its ears and back and a painted face; the folk art one shows a pair side by side. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and some can be made round. Worked a second time in reverse, a single dog makes a facing pair for a mantel.
