One trillium, in most seen from above: three broad pointed petals over three large leaves, most with three narrow sepals between, in several styles.
The flower has three-way symmetry: the leaves are large, broad and pointed, in a whorl, the sepals in most show between the petals, and the petals are on top. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and most can be made as a round ornament. The three petals look alike, but each points a different way. In all but the classic one the two lower petals mirror each other, so count one and repeat it in reverse; count the top petal, and all three petals of the classic one, from the page.
