Vikings needlepoint patterns

Vikings: a Viking standing, whole figure, facing front, and a longship under sail in profile, both in more than one style.

The folk art Viking is the same on his left and his right, so you can count one half and repeat it in reverse. The whimsical one is not: he holds a spear at one side and a shield at the other, and differs in more besides, so count both sides from the chart. The longship's long, low hull curves up steeply at both ends. All are four inches square on 18 mesh. Mast and spear are thin lines, so count them first; several are marked advanced, so check the level on the page.
