About this pattern

A fireplace as a small primitive mat stitched from edge to edge. A terracotta red surround with an arched opening stands on a cream hearth under a cream mantel shelf. In the dark opening a gold flame with a cream center burns over a brown log, and at each end of the shelf a cream candle with a gold flame stands in a gold holder. The ground is dark brown inside a closed sawtooth border of antique blue and gold triangles. Flat colors with no outline, and the left side mirrors the right exactly. Full crosses only. It is 42 by 42 stitches, every square stitched, and uses six thread colors.
