Days of the week hand embroidery patterns

The seven days of the week, twice over: a set of designs for tea towels with the household job each day once had, and the seven names alone.

In the set the days are wash day, ironing day, mending day, market day, cleaning day, baking day and a day of rest. Each design has the day's name arched over a small picture (a tub and washboard, a flat iron, a spool and scissors, a basket of apples, two brooms, a pie, a rocking chair) with the same crescent of laurel below it, so the seven sit together as a set.

The names of the seven days also stand alone in capitals between two garlands of laurel, the longer names in slim line capitals.
