Anemones needlepoint patterns

Most show one anemone facing front: a ring of broad rounded petals around a large dark button center ringed in white, on a thin stem in most.

The single anemone has six to eight petals, with short stamens in most, and a ruff of finely cut leaves below the flower. The anemone is drawn in several styles. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and most can be made as a round ornament. Count the center first, since every petal is set from it; levels run from beginner to advanced.
