Christmas baubles needlepoint patterns

One glass Christmas-tree ball hanging from a bough of fir, a true circle under its cap, in several styles, and three round patterned ornaments.

On its bough the ball is upright and nearly mirrored except for the highlight and shading. All are four inches across on 18 mesh: the designs with a bough are square, and the three ornaments are round, patterned in Fair Isle bands, harlequin diamonds and tartan. Count the circle from its four quarter points so that it stays round. Begin early if it is for the tree: finishing takes time too.
