Beginner needlepoint patterns

Designs marked beginner: stripes, checks, quilt blocks, belts and key fobs that repeat, and simple pictures in flat color.

The pictures include a ladybug, a lemon slice, a panda and a paw print in a heart. Each design takes two to five colors. Most are four inches square on 18 mesh, a size to finish as an ornament or a coaster, and most are worked in tent stitch counted from a chart. Each page gives its thread list. If this is your first piece, pick one with two or three colors.
