Highland cows needlepoint patterns

A Highland cow's head, facing front, so that it mirrors or nearly mirrors: long horns that sweep out and curve up at the tips.

It is drawn in several styles. All are four inches square on 18 mesh. The shaggy forelock is striped in a second shade and, in some, has a tousled edge counted in small steps; where it is shaded with close colors, compare the threads first.
