Farm animals needlepoint patterns

Farm animals to stitch, among them cows, Highland cows and longhorns, hens and roosters, geese, turkeys, horses, sheep, rams, lambs and alpacas.

Many show the head rather than the whole animal, from the front or the side. Some come from rhymes, tales and carols: the cow that jumped over the moon, the three little pigs in their brick house, three French hens, a goose on a nest of six eggs and a goose with golden eggs. Most are drawn in several styles, and many are marked beginner, most of those in the folk art and preppy styles, so this is a fair place to look for a first piece. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and most can also be made as a Christmas stocking; each page gives its level and its thread list.
