Masks needlepoint patterns

Most show a carnival half-mask from the front: two eye holes, a nose piece on the center line and a jewel on the brow, with feathers rising above.

It is drawn in several styles, and one design shows the two theater masks, comedy and tragedy, with ribbons. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and most can be made round. The carnival mask mirrors in outline, so work one eye and its side of the mask, then repeat the shape in reverse; each page gives its level and thread list.
