Poinsettia needlepoint patterns

Most show one poinsettia seen from above, in several styles: a star of pointed bracts in two layers around a small round center.

On the single poinsettia the smaller bracts on top are turned to sit over the gaps, and the center is in most a cluster of beads. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and most can be made as a round ornament. Start at the center and work outward a bract at a time. Begin early if it is for Christmas, since finishing takes time too.
