Retrievers needlepoint patterns

Retrievers: a golden retriever with drop ears and a friendly open mouth, and a Labrador with its broad head.

Some are a head alone, facing front; the preppy golden retriever looks to one side; and the black Labradors of the preppy and whimsical styles are whole dogs sitting, the preppy one side-on with its head turned toward the viewer. Most are Labradors, in three styles, and three of them are black; the golden retriever is drawn in two styles. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and many can also be made as a round ornament or an eight-inch mini pillow on 13 mesh. The two meshes take different thread and a different needle, so choose the form first.
