Sewing needlepoint patterns

Sewing things, among them a spool of thread with a needle, embroidery scissors, a tape measure, a sewing machine and a woman at her needlework.

The spool is a wooden one, and the dressmaker's tape measure lies in loose bends or part rolled up. The sewing machine is black with gold or yellow trim, seen from the side, with a red spool on top, a handwheel at the right and a piece of cloth under the needle. The woman sits in an armchair. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and many can be made round. A needle, the marks on a tape, the tips of scissor blades and the trim on a sewing machine are thin lines, so count them first; many are marked intermediate.
