Frames hand embroidery patterns

Frames to stitch round a name, a date or a few words.

Many are an oval of leaves, open at the top, with one flower at its foot. There are a wreath of leaves tied with a bow, a square frame of laurel, a heart of lace, rings of linked spirals, flowers, dog bones, snowflakes, scallops, waves and sunflower petals, and plain borders of Greek key, scallops and diamonds that go all the way round. There are also an arch with rays in its head, a round frame of sunrays, an octagon with a fan above and below and a square frame of diamonds in one navy thread.
