Redwork bunch of four cherries: preview of the stitched design

Download free PDFPDF, US Letter · 19 KB

This is a redwork bunch of four cherries, the same on both sides. Four stalks fan down from one round joint, and each ends in a round cherry; the outer two cherries hang higher than the inner two. Every cherry carries a crescent highlight on its outer side. A leaf rises from the joint on each side. The joint of the stalks, the cherries, the stalks, the highlights on the cherries and the leaves are stem stitch, and the leaf veins are back stitch. It is all one red thread, with no filled shapes.

Getting it onto your fabric

The PDF holds the pattern twice at actual size: once as drawn, and once mirrored for an iron-on transfer pen. Print it at 100% with scaling off and check the one-inch square (25.4 mm) with a ruler before you trace. How to transfer a pattern explains tracing, carbon paper and the other ways.
