Beehive needlepoint patterns

A straw bee skep, upright and in some mirrored: a dome built of coiled rings that narrow toward a rounded top.

It is drawn in several styles, all on a four-inch square for 18 mesh. At least one can also be made as an eight-inch mini pillow on 13 mesh. Each coil is a horizontal band, so count the lowest ring first and narrow the rest from it; levels run from beginner to advanced.
