Insects and other small creatures, such as monarchs and other butterflies, bees, dragonflies, ladybugs, grasshoppers, ants, stag beetles and scarabs.
There are also the spider of Itsy bitsy spider on its water spout and the spider that hangs beside Little Miss Muffet, each drawn in two styles. One scorpion is seen from above with its claws raised. The stag beetles are seen from above with their jaws raised and six legs spread; other squares set a bumblebee on a clover flower, a bee on a peony and a butterfly above a striped caterpillar. A straw beehive and jars of honey are here too. Nearly all finish four inches square on 18 mesh. Many can also be made as a round ornament. Half are marked beginner, mostly in the preppy and folk art styles, so this is a fair place to look for a first piece: each page gives its level and its thread list.
