Monarch butterflies needlepoint patterns

A monarch butterfly seen from above with its wings open, mirrored, in the monarch's own pattern inside a broad dotted border.

In all but the preppy one the wings are divided into cells by dark veins, many cells in some styles and a few broad ones in others. The butterfly is drawn in several styles. All are four inches square on 18 mesh. Work one wing and repeat it in reverse, then check the spots against the chart. Most take few colors, and some are marked beginner.
