Moon needlepoint patterns

The moon in several forms, among them a crescent with a face, the phases, the sun and moon, a crescent in a cloud and a cat on a crescent.

The face is in profile in most styles; the phases are in a ring or an arch; the sun and moon are one disc, or the sun is resting in a crescent; and the crescent in the cloud has stars below. All are four inches square on 18 mesh and most can be made round. A dark ground makes a pale moon stand out; buy all of the background color at once so that it comes from one dye lot.
