Ice skating needlepoint patterns

Most show figure skates, many as a pair hanging by their laces, tied in a bow, the blades and the lacing drawn stitch by stitch.

They come in several styles, all on a four-inch square for 18 mesh. In most, laces and blades are thin lines, so count them before the boots and the ground. If the skates are for the tree, start early: finishing takes time on top of the stitching.
