Needlepoint Christmas stocking patterns

Christmas stockings in two sizes: full-size ones, among them tartan, gingham, stripes, candy stripe, Fair Isle and little trees, and mini stockings.

Each full-size stocking has a plain cuff left for a name, and the mini stockings come in many of the same patterns. The full-size ones are about 11 by 18 inches on 13 mesh and the minis four by six inches on 18 mesh. In either size the plain stripes, the gingham, the candy stripe and the little trees are marked beginner, and the tartan is marked intermediate. A stocking is usually made up by a finisher, so read about finishing before you start.
