Zodiac needlepoint patterns

Eleven of the twelve signs of the zodiac, each as its figure, among them the ram, the bull, the twins, the crab, the lion and the maiden.

The rest are the scales, the scorpion, the archer's bow and arrow, the sea-goat and the two fish. The crab, the scales and the fish come in several styles, the others in one or two. Most are four inches square on 18 mesh, and most can be made as a round ornament. A sign makes a birthday gift, so count back from the date and allow time for finishing.
