A painted tile holds a flower of eight navy petals with gold centers round a woven wheel, inside an orange ring, with an orange French knot between each pair of petals. Each corner has an orange square, its corner stone, holding a gold quarter circle, and from it grow a pointed blue bud and two green leaves; an orange half circle sits on each side, and the border is a row of navy and sky blue blocks. The leaves are long and short stitch, and the petals, their centers, the buds, the ring, the border, the corner stones, the quarter circles and the half circles are satin stitch.

- In a 3 inch hoop the French knots are drawn smaller than about 2 mm (a little over 1/16 in). Use one strand of floss for them there, or choose a larger hoop.
The pattern is drawn inside a circle about half an inch (1.3 cm) smaller all around than the hoop.
