Five rosebud edging: preview of the stitched design

Download free PDFPDF, US Letter · 9 KB

Five rosebuds stand in a row along a band. One long stem runs the whole way across in a long shallow curve and lifts a rosebud at each end, and a shoot branches from it on each side to lift a rosebud between. The middle rosebud stands upright on a short stem with a pair of leaves at its base, and five more leaves grow on each side. Each rosebud is a dark pink center between two light pink petals, set in a light green cup with a sepal at each side, all in satin stitch. The stems are dark green stem stitch, and each leaf is satin stitch, half dark green and half light green.

Getting it onto your fabric

The PDF holds the pattern twice at actual size: once as drawn, and once mirrored for an iron-on transfer pen. Print it at 100% with scaling off and check the one-inch square (25.4 mm) with a ruler before you trace. How to transfer a pattern explains tracing, carbon paper and the other ways.
