This round neckline is drawn at hoop size: stitch it as it is on a doll’s or a baby’s dress, or enlarge the drawing to fit the neck of a blouse. A daisy sits at the center front with a short leafy drop below it. A leafy vine runs round each side to a curl at the shoulder, with a paisley hanging from it and a small flower beyond, and the two sides match. The neck edge, paisleys and vines are stem stitch with a line of running stitch beside the edge, the petals and leaves are single lazy daisy stitches, the teardrops inside the paisleys are back stitch and the flower centers and dots are French knots.

- In a 3 inch hoop the French knots are drawn smaller than about 2 mm (a little over 1/16 in). Use one strand of floss for them there, or choose a larger hoop.
The pattern is drawn inside a circle about half an inch (1.3 cm) smaller all around than the hoop.
