A medallion of daisies is worked in lazy daisy stitch, which does everything but the French knot centers. One large daisy of eight navy petals sits in the middle, with a green leaf between each two petals. At the tip of each leaf stands a small pink daisy of six petals, so eight small daisies make a ring around the large one. Every petal and every leaf is one lazy daisy stitch, a single loop tied down at its tip. The center of the large daisy is a pink French knot and the centers of the small daisies are navy French knots.

- In a 3 inch hoop the French knots are drawn smaller than about 2 mm (a little over 1/16 in). Use one strand of floss for them there, or choose a larger hoop.
The pattern is drawn inside a circle about half an inch (1.3 cm) smaller all around than the hoop.
