An olive branch of stem stitch turns the corner in a round elbow and runs along the two sides, clothed with pairs of slim satin stitch leaves that lean toward each tip, every leaf in two halves that meet on its center vein, and each arm ends in a single leaf. A pair of satin stitch olives hangs on curved stalks from the elbow, out along the diagonal. It is made for the corner of a napkin, a handkerchief or a tablecloth.

Getting it onto your fabric
The PDF holds the pattern twice at actual size: once as drawn, and once mirrored for an iron-on transfer pen. Print it at 100% with scaling off and check the one-inch square (25.4 mm) with a ruler before you trace. How to transfer a pattern explains tracing, carbon paper and the other ways.
