Winter animals and birds needlepoint patterns

Animals of snow and ice: a penguin standing upright and facing front, a narwhal in profile, a polar bear, and a snowy owl on a snow-capped perch.

The polar bear walks in profile on a strip of ice or sits facing front in a red scarf, and the snowy owl faces front, white with rows of dark flecks on its breast. Most are drawn in several styles. All are four inches square on 18 mesh, and most can be made as a round ornament. Pale animals want a ground with color in it. Most are marked intermediate; the page gives the level.
