Prize rosette: preview of the stitched design

Download free PDFPDF, US Letter · 9 KB

A prize rosette has a large five-pointed star on its round center, two rings of pleated ribbon around it and a matched pair of ribbon tails that part in a V below, each with a stripe down its middle and a swallow-tail end. The pleated edges, the center, the star and the tails are stem stitch, and the pleat folds and the stripes on the tails are back stitch.

Getting it onto your fabric

The PDF holds the pattern twice at actual size: once as drawn, and once mirrored for an iron-on transfer pen. Print it at 100% with scaling off and check the one-inch square (25.4 mm) with a ruler before you trace. How to transfer a pattern explains tracing, carbon paper and the other ways.
