Download free PDFPDF, US Letter · 20 KB

A string of Christmas lights is set as a heart and tied with a red bow in its notch. Thirteen lamps stand out from one wire, five red, four gold and four teal, the same to left and right, each in a green socket. The lamps, their sockets and the bow are satin stitch, and the wire is dark green stem stitch.

Size and details

Easy. In a hoop of 6 inches or less: short satin stitches, no shading; in a larger hoop the widest satin stitches are long.

Getting it onto your fabric

The PDF holds the pattern twice at actual size: once as drawn, and once mirrored for an iron-on transfer pen. Print it at 100% with scaling off and check the one-inch square (25.4 mm) with a ruler before you trace. How to transfer a pattern explains tracing, carbon paper and the other ways.
