Mistletoe wreath with a red bow: preview of the stitched design

Download free PDFPDF, US Letter · 18 KB

A wreath of mistletoe is tied at its top with a red bow. The ring of the wreath is one dark green line of stem stitch, and sixteen pairs of leaves stand along it, eight down each side. A white berry sits on the ring where each pair springs, and three more berries lie in a row at the foot. The leaves are satin stitch, each half slanted to the center vein and one half a lighter green than the other. The berries and the garnet knot of the bow are satin stitch too; the loops of the bow and the tails of the bow are red long and short stitch. The open middle takes a name or a date.

Getting it onto your fabric

The PDF holds the pattern twice at actual size: once as drawn, and once mirrored for an iron-on transfer pen. Print it at 100% with scaling off and check the one-inch square (25.4 mm) with a ruler before you trace. How to transfer a pattern explains tracing, carbon paper and the other ways.
