Button in laurel: preview of the stitched design

Download free PDFPDF, US Letter · 16 KB

A round button sits inside an open laurel wreath tied at the foot with a rose pink bow. The rim of the button is a broad band of teal satin stitch, and inside it a ring of teal stem stitch marks the face of the button. The four holes are navy satin stitch, and the thread that holds the button makes a cross between them in rose pink satin stitch. Two stems of stem stitch rise from the bow, each with eleven pairs of leaves and a single leaf at its tip; the leaves are satin stitch, each half slanted to the center vein in its own green. The bow and the bow tails are satin stitch, and the bow knot is padded satin stitch.

Size and details

Easy. Short satin stitches, no shading, with a little padded satin stitch.

Print it at 100% with scaling off and check the one-inch square (25.4 mm) with a ruler before you trace. How to transfer a pattern explains tracing, carbon paper and the other ways.
