A softball sits in a laurel wreath that rises from a star. The ball is outlined in stem stitch and its two seams are stem stitch, each with a row of nine V stitches made of two straight stitches; the wreath is two branches of satin stitch leaves, eleven pairs and a single leaf at the tip of each, that rise from a satin stitch star at the foot.
