Count is the number of squares per inch. Higher count makes the same design smaller; the stitches and thread colors stay the same. Sizes shown are the stitched area; allow extra fabric for finishing.

About this pattern

A nine-branch Hanukkah menorah worked in a single blue thread on bare cloth, like a paper stencil. Eight straight arms slant up from the stem in four nested V shapes; each ends in a hollow candle with a small solid flame, and the candle in the middle, the shamash, stands higher than the other eight. The stem rests on a stepped foot, and the design mirrors exactly left to right. No outline. Full crosses only. It is 43 by 39 stitches and uses one thread color.

43 stitches wide by 39 high: 592 full cross stitches in 1 DMC color (Dark Baby Blue 322).
