About this pattern

A penguin cut out in one black thread inside a round ring two stitches thick. It stands upright with its body facing you and its head turned to the left, so the beak shows in profile; the eye is a small square of bare cloth. Both flippers are held out and down, and the feet stand on a dark strip of ground that fills the foot of the ring. No white front is shown: it is told by its shape alone. No outline thread and no shading. Full crosses only. It is 52 by 52 stitches and uses one thread color.
