A ruby-throated hummingbird hovering in side view, facing left, with nothing else in the picture. It has a green head and back, a red throat, a white breast, a dark green tail and a long straight bill one stitch thick. Both gray wings are swept up and back behind the body, the far wing showing behind the near one, and the dark eye has a white glint. A dark brown outline runs round the bird. Full crosses only, with no backstitch. It is 47 by 34 stitches and uses seven thread colors.
