About this pattern

An empty basket in the manner of an old sampler motif, worked in two browns and cream. The cream body is crossed by a brown diamond lattice and flares upward from a plain brown foot to a wide brown rim band, level along its top, with five scallops hanging from its lower edge over the lattice. An arched handle springs from the two ends of the rim, wrapped in alternating turns of brown and cream. The basket mirrors left to right. Dark brown outline. Full crosses only. It is 47 by 44 stitches and uses three thread colors.

47 stitches wide by 44 high: 1,158 full cross stitches in 3 DMC colors (Very Dark Hazelnut Brown 869, Winter White 3865, Ultra Dark Coffee Brown 938).
