About this pattern

A checkers (draughts) board seen from straight above at the start of a game: eight squares by eight in pale gold and hazelnut brown inside a dark brown rim, with twelve red pieces on the dark squares of the top three rows, twelve black pieces on the dark squares of the bottom three and the two middle rows empty. Each piece is a flat round disc in the middle of its square. The whole board is stitched solid, with no bare fabric inside the rim. Full crosses only. It is 60 by 60 stitches and uses five thread colors.

60 stitches wide by 60 high: 3,600 full cross stitches in 5 DMC colors (Pale Golden Brown 3827, Very Dark Hazelnut Brown 869, Ultra Dark Coffee Brown 938 and 2 more).
