Count is the number of squares per inch. Higher count makes the same design smaller; the stitches and thread colors stay the same. Sizes shown are the stitched area; allow extra fabric for finishing.

About this pattern

A folding hand fan lying fully open, in red and gold, of the kind carried in Spanish flamenco. The leaf has thirteen pleats in red and dark red turn about, with a gold band along its curved rim. Below it the bare sticks fan out in gold with slivers of pale straw between them, narrowing to a round gold head with a one-stitch rivet; a gold guard stick runs along each straight edge. A red tassel with a gold collar hangs from the head. Nothing is painted on the fan. Dark brown outline; the same on its left and right. Full crosses only. It is 61 by 48 stitches and uses five thread colors.

61 stitches wide by 48 high: 1,526 full cross stitches in 5 DMC colors (Medium Topaz 783, Red 321, Medium Garnet 815 and 2 more).
