About this pattern

A wedge of watermelon standing on its rind with a little American flag on a stick in its tip, for the Fourth of July. The flesh is coral red with ten dark seeds, a thin pale green band follows the curve of the dark green rind, and the slice mirrors left and right, seeds included. The flag flies to the right from a gold stick: it is a small flag, with nine red and white stripes and six white dots on a navy corner, not the full flag's thirteen and fifty. Navy outline. Nothing is written on it. Full crosses only. It is 36 by 42 stitches and uses seven thread colors.

36 stitches wide by 42 high: 828 full cross stitches in 7 DMC colors (Medium Coral 350, Very Dark Navy Blue 939, Hunter Green 3346 and 4 more).
