About this pattern

A green snake coiled in a neat pile of three loops, its head raised above the pile and facing right with a red forked tongue out. Each loop is dark green with pale straw bands across it and a lighter green belly along its underside; the loops get shorter toward the top, with four bands, then three, then two. The neck rises from the middle of the pile with one more band, and the head has a dark eye with a white light and a mouth line. The tip of the tail lies on the ground at the lower left. Dark brown outline. Full crosses only. It is 41 by 37 stitches and uses six thread colors.
