About this pattern

The year in four framed squares, two above two, read like a page: a red tulip for spring, a sun for summer, an orange maple leaf for autumn and a snowman for winter. The tulip has three pointed red petals on a thin green stem between two green leaves. The sun is a round pale yellow face with four pointed gold rays and a gold wedge at each corner. The maple leaf has five points, a gold midrib and a short stalk. The snowman wears a dark hat and a red scarf and has two dark eyes, an orange carrot nose and two buttons.
