About this pattern

A square panel like old furnishing cloth: a navy blue ground, stitched solid, crossed by a fine gold diagonal trellis, with five gold fleurs de lis standing upright in its diamonds, one in the middle and four round it, all closed by a gold line. Two threads only, and the panel mirrors left to right exactly. The trellis repeats every 28 stitches, so it can be carried on for a cushion. A piece for a pincushion top or a box lid; with 3,969 stitches of full coverage it is slow to stitch. Full crosses only. It is 63 by 63 stitches and uses two thread colors.
