A green canvas hiking backpack seen square from the front. A rolled red bedroll lies across the top, held by two brown straps that run down over the lid to a brass buckle each. Below the edge of the lid are a pale green front pocket with its own flap and buckle, a pocket on each side and a brown base with rounded corners. No maker's mark or lettering is stitched. The left half mirrors the right exactly. Dark brown outline. Full crosses only. It is 31 by 37 stitches and uses six thread colors.
